Roster (Comments from coach Adam Schilling)

#00 Tyler Robarge, 6-8, Class of 2019, Chippewa Falls -- Averaged 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds for the varsity squad at Chippewa Falls as a sophomore ... Scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in a 62-60 victory over Eau Claire Memorial ... "Tyler is coming off a good season at Chippewa Falls where he was a starter for most of the year. He figures to have a very big role for Chippewa Falls next year. Tyler can move well for his size, finish well around the basket and is strong defensively in the paint. He will work on using his left hand more this summer and that should help his game offensively."

#3 Alex Nelson, 6-0, Class of 2019, Chippewa Falls -- Came off the bench for the varsity squad at Chippewa Falls as a sophomore and averaged 1.6 points and 0.6 rebounds for the Cardinals ... "Alex saw good minutes at Chippewa Falls. He has grown quite a bit and improved his strength and quickness in the past 12 months. He sees the floor very well and creates well for others. He role at Chippewa Falls should increase next year as the program loses some good guards to graduation."

#4 Avery Hoepner, 6-0, Class of 2019, Mondovi -- Steady point guard who averaged 13.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore en route to earning first-team all-league honors in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference ... Scored a career-high 23 points and had 3 assists in a victory over Boyceville ... Helped Mondovi to a 13-10 record under coach Chad Brieske ... "Avery is new to our program and we are very excited to have him. He is a very good point guard who can shoot the three, penetrate and create for others or himself. He can also handle the ball against pressure. He is very efficient offensively and also very unselfish."

#13 Mathew Hoglund, 6-0, Class of 2019, Ashland -- Played on the JV squad at Ashland as a sophomore ... "Mathew and his twin brother, Marques, are new to our program. Mathew is a very good defender and can shoot the ball well from the outside. His all-around game is solid, and he doesn't have many weaknesses."

#15 Cory Hoglund, 6-2, Class of 2019, McDonell Central -- Key player off the bench for the Macks of McDonell Central and coach Archie Sherbinow ... Averaged 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds as McDonell went 24-4 and qualified for the WIAA Division 5 State Tournament for the second year in a row ... Scored 10 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in a playoff victory over Rib Lake ... "Cory works very hard on improving his game and I expect him to have a good spring and summer. Cory is strong and plays very hard. He can shoot the ball well from the outside and rebounds well for his size."

#23 George Scharlau, 6-4, Class of 2019, Colfax -- Earned second-team all-league honors as a sophomore in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference ... Averaged 11.7 points and 6.3 rebounds for Colfax ... A two-year varsity performer for coach Garrett Maas ... Scored a career-high 21 points while snaring 8 rebounds in a win over Amery ... Made 40 three-point shots in 2016-17 ... "George is a very nice player. He is a good shooter from deep and can handle the ball well for his size. I expect George will have a big season next year for Colfax."

#25 Marques Hoglund, 6-0, Class of 2019, Ashland -- Played on the JV squad at Ashland in 2016-17 ... "Like Mathew Hoglund, Marques Hoglund is a good athlete and perimeter shooter who has a good knowledge of how to play the game."

#30 Ben Thompson, 6-2, Class of 2019, Colfax -- Averaged 9.0 points and 3.3 rebounds as a sophomore for Colfax ... "Ben was a key reserve for Colfax and seemed to improve as the season progressed. He is a good-sized, strong guard who can shoot the three very well. He has improved his defense and his ball handling and should have a nice spring and summer for us."

#32 Jackson Wolterstorff, 6-4, Class of 2019, Regis -- Played on the JV squad at Regis as a sophomore and was one of the leading scorers for the Ramblers ... "Jackson is an improved player from last year. He has good size, a big frame and athleticism. He figures to have a role on the varsity team at Regis next year. He has also improved his outside shooting and his strength."

Notes: (From coach Adam Schilling) -- "I really like this group and it might be the best one that we have had in our program for a long time. We have some good size and play-making ability. If we can play well together, I think we will do well in most tournaments."
